In Torremolinos a penthouse usually means the top floor of one of the 1970s seafront towers in Playamar — and the gap between a refurbished one and an original one is enormous. Several of those towers have been through full façade, lobby and plumbing renovation programmes, and a top-floor flat in a renovated block, with its wide railing-ringed terrace facing the open Mediterranean, is a different proposition from the same floor in a building still waiting its turn.
